Sustainability Victoria (previously EcoRecycle Victoria) was created to bring about significant changes in the way Victoria addresses resource recovery, recycling and waste management. This up-dated site contains a wealth of information on recycling and recyclable materials.

ACT's government website. Canberra is a Zero Waste city, committed to no waste by 2010. This website provides an overview of their strategies and services as well as statistics on their progress to date.

The NSW Waste Boards website contains a wealth of information on waste minimisation, including sections on Organics, Municipal Waste, Commercial and Industrial Waste and Construction and Demolition Waste. The site is also home to a series of directories, including The Buy Recycled Guide, The Construction and Demolitions Projects Directory, The Reuse and Recycling Directory and The Waste Transporters and Skips Directory.

The RO Library was commissioned by Environment Australia as a searchable catalogue of Internet resources selected and catalogued for the benefit of the Recycled Organics community and to help initiate steps towards creating standard terminology in the Recycled Organics sector.

Green Innovations is a non-profit environmental think-tank and environmental services organisation that aims to be a catalyst for the achievement of global and local sustainability.

The Planet Ark's aim is to show people and business the many ways that they can reduce their day to day impact on the environment. Their site includes an archive of Reuter's Daily Environment News, Reuter's Environment News Pictures, and the ABC's World Environment News broadcasts.

The Waste Crisis Network (WCN) was formed in the early 1990's by campaigners for waste minimisation (from various environmental organisations), and protesters against waste disposal (representing community groups opposing disposal facilities in their local areas). WCN still campaigns on these two main fronts with the target of Zero Waste by 2010. Check out their Integrated Waste Elimination Strategy for New South Wales.

The Centre for Design develops and demonstrates new design methods, tools and processes aimed at improving the environmental performance of products and services. It works with industry to design greener products and services and to develop more strategic environmental directions. It also advises government agencies on policy and programmes to reduce environmental impacts through design, explores new design concepts and scenarios for a sustainable future and maintains a national and international network of research and information exchange in environmental design.
