The recycling industry of New Zealand is incredibly diverse and is supported by several organisations.
Recycling Operators of New Zealand
RONZ is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1992, representing recycling service providers, operators and educators throughout the recovered materials and recycling industry. - RONZ is actively involved in local and national issues and lobbies and promotes recycling, resource efficiency and waste minimisation in New Zealand.
- It provides information through its regular website updates and facilitates networking through a membership directory and hosting a number of workshops each year.
- They are also involved in research and development of best practice guidelines and industry training.

WasteMINZ
The Waste Management Institute of New Zealand (WasteMINZ) is a non-profit, multi discipline organisation that was formed in 1989 for everyone concerned with and involved in the management of all aspects of waste. The primary function of WasteMINZ is to provide a forum for the presentation and dissemination of information and to act as a facilitator for the waste management industry in New Zealand.
