Community Information Service

Community Information Service provides community groups with a link to the extensive resources at Lincoln University to assist them with community enterprise development. This service is accessed directly or through Community Employment Group fieldworkers.

This service can help you access information, research and expertise at a university which has a history of providing innovative support for rural and community development. CIS can also link you to specific educational, training and research programmes orientated to your community's needs and to wider networkds of information, both national and international.

CIS can help you find out if anyone, anywhere, has published the answer to your questions about:

  • developing new products
  • whether an idea is worth trying
  • who else is doing what you want to do
  • how best to address the needs of your community.

For further information please contact your nearest Community Employment Group office or go to http://www.lincoln.ac.nz/cis
