Wanaka WasteBusters

Wanaka WasteBusters is a Community initiative, established in 1999 to provide a sustainable waste reduction programme for the Wanaka Community.

They operate a successful recyclables recovery centre, reuseables shop and cardboard collection service. The sale of second hand goods is the organisations’ highest income earner.

In the future Wanaka Wastebusters aim to develop an environmental education centre at the depot site offering facilities and services to school groups, community groups and visitors to Wanaka.
